Perfect, doesn't distort the wood like the claw style tee nuts. Please note that these are not as forgiving if you oversize the pilot hole. Nice clean fastening method!

I used these to install a 500W BASH panel amp in the back of a Parts-Express subwoofer cabinet. No glitches.

If you plan to use these to install speakers, check two things: (1) dimensions of the speaker/subwoofer mounting surface - hole location relative to the edge of the speaker and relative to cabinet - to anticipate interference problems. Hole size for these is 1/4", but the flange is close to 3/4" in diameter; (2) if you route a relief area to seat the speaker, the cabinet wall thickness in this area should be greater than about .35" to allow for nut shaft (part that "spins" into cabinet wall) length.

Because of the narrow opening on the front of my speakers, I didn't have the room to get behind these nuts with a hammer to tap them in. So I drilled 1/4" holes and installed using a small piece of scrap oak as a bearing surface while "pulling" them into the panel mounting strip. Worked great and my gut tells me that there is no way these are stripping out. The MDF baffle material will crush long before these loosen.
