I noticed that some people buy these beleiving it will give them a solid blue lamp. These are ment to reproduce the old ones used by high end equipment. They are ment to fade to a slight teal color with the heat. If you need a blue lamp then get one that is colored blue. It puzzles me that those who are not aware of the purpose of these say they are no good. They are perfect...if you know what you need.

It's not really "blue" it's more of a teal color. I still think it looks good and would definitely buy more in the future.

Even at 1.50 for 10 covers, these products aren't worth it, at least for my application. Since it's a latex cover, it will block some light which mean the light your covering won't be as bright. They fit over a 74 bulb and come out looking aqua, not blue. They are too long for the bulbs so each one needs to be trimmed (no biggie, just annoying). If you want blue lights, buy blue bulbs. These are a poor excuse for trying to emit blue light.
