Acousta-Stuf Polyfill 5 lb. Bag

This product just plain works as advertised. As a added bonus, it is easy to cut/tear & does not itch like crazy if gloves are not used.

I had some generic fabric store fiberfil laying around but I needed more fil for a project involving multiple speakers. This stuff works much better it took 3 to 4 times as much of the old stuff I had to get comparable results. What's interesting is that acusta stuf turned out to be excellent for minimizing the colored sound of my midrange and midbass frequencies. I've always used fil for undersized sub enclosures and this was the first time I used it for speakers, along with subs too. So I ordered 2 more 5lb bags and filled all my project speakers with the acustuf and used my old fil for my subs since enough of the old fil works well for tricking undersized enclosures.
As far as how much to use, enclosures under 2 cubic ft have alot of play in stuffing densities and noticeable results whereas enclosure over 3 cubic ft need to be closer to manufacture recommendation and will have less noticeable results still(I did a little testing). Also, a 5lb. bag of acusta stuf was smaller than 5 pounds of the old fil I had already which shocked me but I noticed it was more dense and tougher maybe that could explain the better performance. I have not compared this to fiberglass or wool which I hear works great minus some allergy effects but at this moment acusta is my go to polyfil brand

Product seems to perform as advertised; Bass seems cleaner,deeper and more sonically accurate.
