SOLD OUT!! 10" Shielded Paper Cone Subwoofer

My goal was to build a lightweight car subwoofer. I built a box from a 16" length of 12" diameter Quik-Tube and 3/4" MDF end plates. I'm powering it with one channel of my Plye PLM-203 so its getting 150W RMS.

I've used several different subs, mostly 12s and 15s in heavy wood boxes. I didn't expect much from a 10" sub in a cardboard tube. I was wrong. From 30' outside my car I could hear the bass drum in the song "One" by Metallica. I tried some rap CDs and there was plenty of boom. Not bad for a $16 sub.

using them on a plye 1450 as subs, too much power for theses speakers, however they make great home system speakers, all and all great deal

Very good performance. The Xmax is only 7mm so nothing exciting obviously. A Great value for the money.
