Dayton DC250-8 10" Classic Woofer

I have one of these in a 1 cu foot sealed enclosure. I use it as my Home theater sub. I am using a 150 watt sub amp with it.
Very musical sub. Great low end tight,thump with out being boomy.

Ordered 2 of these as replacement woofers for rotted foam 1975 vintage HPM60 Pioneers. While not a direct drop in,it was very easy to fit these to the cabinets.Got a couple of hours on them with my modest vinyl set-up i.e. 1978 Pioneer PL512 turntable,1978 Kenwood KA-3500 amp and they sound great. Feels(and sounds)good to have these HPM60s back in the game. And...the Parts Express service was first rate.Earned a lifetime customer with me. Thanks again.

As these were my first complete build, everything from scratch, I was very apprehensive as to how they would sound. I spent nearly 10 years waiting for the resources (read cash), time, and courage to build Wayne's Veritas Design (Thank You Wayne!), and nearly a year in build time, and all I can say is Beautiful, Awesome, WOW! The Veritas design calls for 2 of these bad boys per side, so I was expecting much, and I was not disappointed. The Bass is clean, tight, and deep! There is definitely a break in period which I expect will vary depending on the type of music you play, how often, and how LOUD, my pair has been online for 5 months and the bass just keeps getting better. I listen to a mix of acoustic, Classical, and Contemporary Christian music, but these are also my Mains for my 5.1 HT. They transport you into the movie. I am building a center to match this summer, and I hope surrounds by next fall.
I have spent nearly 38 years listening to commercially available 3 and 4 way designs so many of which are muddy, sloppy, and colored. The Dayton Classic 10 in Wayne s design delivers 2K+ performance for a very reasonable price.
I can highly recommended, just give them a chance to break in!
FYI, I followed Wayne s design verbatim.
My only beef is the cardboard ring on the front not lining up withe holes in the basket.
