Goldwood GM-600PB 1" Horn 1-3/8"-18 TPI

A long time back I had a pair of horns just like these made of cast aluminum and after dampening them down to get the resonant frequencies stable they were a Great little pair of horns.I built them into stand-alone boxes and eventually sold them (later wished I hadn't).
For years I seached for a similar horn and settled on these.Although they are Plastic,the boss is heavier than most plastic horns and if you choose to mount a heavy driver on them it is best support the horn near the boss.I'm currently using them with the Goldwood 550 series driver and it's quite large and heavy and I've had no problems with the combiation. Sounds very smooth crossed at 2.5khz and up even at high SPL's

Works well for my application. Fit in speaker box easily. Looks good,and it works good.

These are great horns for the money. I bought them for a set of home made PA speakers. They have a heavier duty threaded boss than the ones I had previously. I went ahead and beefed them up a little more with fiberglass since my drivers are so heavy, (that's what broke my old ones). My drivers are a little over 2 lbs. each. For about $11 each including shipping and a little glass, I've got a very durable set of horns. They may have been fine without the fiberglass reinforcement, but I figured it was just good insurance.
