Seems to work for PA and bass guitar pretty well. As it goes out to 4K it is not as old school as a standalone as you might think and it allows you to crossover at 3 to 3.5 K with your tweeter for a more modern approach

Used it in a single 12 scoop cabinet for bass. No crossover. The 4K top end is adequate. For reference, SVT boxes roll into oblivion around 5K. Works pretty well and sounds very good for this application. I suspect in a mid power PA application it would do pretty well.
