These speakers can take the power, and they can produce a good low-mid bass. They lack in clarity on vocals & guitar sound. Tones above 500Hz are not the best sounding; from 100Hz-250Hz they do shine. Used with a 60Hz 6db high pass crossover keeps them from reverberating too much. I would not purchase them again unless I need something for the 100-500 Hz bandwidth. I have used them for over 4 years and they are wearing on me; I will be replacing them soon. They were a good budget replacement at the time, but its time to step up in sound quality.

I built 3 way speaker pods for the front doors of my tundra, these sound excellent in them. Very tight and hard hitting bass/mid-bass driver.
