I bought these to build a set of Altec 19 clone type speakers and used an 811B horn and eminence 2002 driver. My buddy Paul C. made a gorgeous set of 1200Khz XOs and all I can say is what a success!

These Daytons have the guts to go where few woofers can and they seem to want more.

I put one of these in a bass guitar cabinet because I wanted to reach the low B on a five string bass. It s loud, clear and strong. The sound is so deep I have to dial up the treble and mids to get the typical bright bass guitar sound. Because this speaker is rated up to 2000 hz, you may want a midrange or a tweeter for use with bass guitar, to get back that sparkle . Put this in a 4.5 cu ft box with a midrange or tweeter, and you will have an impressive and reasonably portable bass cabinet.
