The Dayton RS28A-4 Reference Series tweeter is designed to be an excellent match for the Dayton Reference Series woofers. The tweeter's unique black anodized 1-1/8" aluminum diaphragm and state-of-the-art motor system not only matches the look and features of the RS woofers, but also matches the clean, detailed, and uncolored sound. A cast aluminum faceplate, protective mesh grill, tuned rear chamber, and several distortion-reducing paths in the motor system are just a few of the features that allow this tweeter to outperform many expensive audiophile high-frequency transducers. Very nice clear tweeter. Very clear for pop/jazz, for classical, the aluminum dome highs are not as natural. I will get the silk dome version to do a comparison.

I decided to try these on a whim for an automotive installation...All I can say is WOW. I have them crossed at 1.2khz, active 24db, w/100w each to match up with a set of front mids in my car. They are kick panel mounted on angled rings.

I had some reservations about using an aluminum dome in the car, but not anymore. These have absolutely no sibilance or harshness in my application and are very clean and clear. They have also completely disappeared...you know there is a tweeter there, but you cannot locate it with your ear.
