DISCONTINUED FM Antenna Booster

great response to my problem

I purchased this booster mainly to improve HD Radio reception, which I love but the HR Radio signal is 100 times weaker than normal radio signals (AM and FM). Installing the booster was simple, just solder a wire for power (I decided to use the aux. power control signal from the radio and leave the booster always turned on) then plug the antenna cable into the booster and plug the booster into the radio s antenna jack.

After a little over a week of use the results are that AM reception is definitely worse (by about 30%). Standard FM and FM-HD reception is just barely improved. It s hard to say by how much but I would say less than 5%

I m seriously considering removing the booster and throwing it in the garbage. I would be willing to pay up to $50 for a booster (plus installation) that did a decent job but wouldn t give $2 for this one.
