DISCONTINUED Tang Band W4-1320SC 4" Bamboo Cone Driver

I have used a pair of these drivers in a dipole configuration with active crossover at 75Hz and
a 50W tube power amp, essentially treating them as a mid/tweet. Once you unburden these of the LF demands they sound excellent. This single 4" cone can do a fine job with vocals and they soundstage like a champ. Clean and natural sounding, they do it all...except break the laws of physics. Take the bass duties off their hands and they shine with amazing dynamic snap and clarity. At the $30 sale price they're a steal. A 5- or 7-driver line array of these pups will prove exceptional.

These drivers sound smooth. I'm using them for tweeters in cabs that had a 3.25" cutout. Crossed over at 5khz which doesn't make good use of the full range of the speaker. The issues I have? I ordered two of these and got two different shaped drivers (outside frame was different)The other negative I report is the very narrow axis of sweet sound--get off-axis and they don't sound quite as sweet. Not bad if you get a matched pair and get a good sale price.

These sound really nice. So much better than my old speakers. They are much more accurate. My dog is now watching TV more and doing that goofy head turning thing like someone is talking to her.
