DISCONTINUED Vifa DX25TG-05-04 1" Fabric Dome Tweeter

I like these tweeters! They don't sound as clear as some of the Peerless tweeters (used in Event monitors) out there. The Z is a little low to match with some woofers. It has a low Fs, perfect for two way designs (I like to leave NO LESS then an octave and half between X-over points and Fs).

Finally I like the price. I find that some Vifa speakers are over priced but this perfect product at this price makes up for that!

It makes very good and deep stage.
Impendance is not a problem because you can use only a serial resistance.
I think Proac use it in some products.

This tweeter is very crisp and clear and has a very good overall range for a driver of its price range. The exceptional power handling is a definite plus for use in a high power system. I personally consider this driver to be one of the best tweeter s in the under $100.00 category, the only limitation is the 4 ohm impedance which limits the use of the driver and is not the ideal audiophile impedance, which is also an issue for some amplifier s. I definitely will use this tweet in future project designs, my current trial of the unit in a 2.5 way design with side firing subs (inspired by the classic AR design) has been around one year. I infact purchased these for an entirely different design but choose to substitute the original drivers (Dayton silkies) and have been very satisfied with the decision.
